ABOUT ME

Gina Morgan

Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my website.

An important thing I’d like you to know right up front is that I value your time.  I am a “Get it Done” kind of girl...a Commander if you’re already familiar with the CORE language. As such, I want to get straight to the point and tell you that my primary goal is to help clients get unstuck and moving toward their greatest desires in life as quickly as possible.

In order to help you decide if my style of coaching is a good fit for you, I need to toot my own horn a bit (which makes me immensely uncomfortable...but it’s a skill I've learned has value beyond measure in many areas of life).

I utilize incredible tools that facilitate rapid change, but a lot of coaches do (in fact, I train coaches, counselors, therapists, and other change agents around the globe to use the very tools I use).  What makes me different is the unique set of life experiences that grant me the drive and vision to see the goal and move things forward, the empathy to really get into the mind, heart, and soul of my clients, and the perspective needed to guide them on their journey toward authentic joy in every area of life.

The Nuts and Bolts of What I Bring to the Table as a Coach

I have more than 25 years of experience transforming lives and relationships by helping clients discover and develop their natural strengths, improve communication, build healthier relationships, and maximize their potential.

I am co-developer of the highly acclaimed
CORE Multidimensional Awareness Profile (CORE MAP).  It’s the tool I use first with every client to help them discover who they are authentically.

I have a gift for
connecting deeply and recognizing patterns that have subtly sabotaged previous best efforts for change. Clients routinely tell me I must either be psychic or I have planted cameras in their homes (neither of which is true).

Power through Grace is a mantra I coined and is threaded throughout much of the work I do.  It's about stepping fully into the power of being your most authentic self and speaking your truth in a way that can be received by others even when you’re feeling stressed.  It's about developing the skills to handle any situation or person while spending most of your time in a space that gives you energy, passion, and joy...because only from THAT place can you give your best to the world.

I have worked with numerous organizations including American Airlines, Verizon, and Frito-Lay as a trainer and executive coach.
Finding solutions to people-problems is one of my specialties.

I am the personal and team development coach for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Helping top performers truly shine is one of my favorite things to do!

Navigating a relationship that bends the stereotypes of what it looks like to be a “man/woman, husband/wife, father/mother” and honors the differences that inspire and infuriate on a daily basis has given me incredible insight and tools for transforming the dynamics within relationships of all kinds.

I am a mother of
spirited children who required patience and strategies for learning life skills instead of administering medication to fit a cookie-cutter school system. While medication is sometimes necessary to stabalize a situation, the goal is to provide skills and self-awareness that will foster success in their future. Extensive research and successful application has provided me with a wealth of resources to share when working with families with troubled children (who are often spirited children without direction and/or self-awareness).  Download Learning Style Information & Case Study

Dealing with personal tragedy and helping others walk through their darkest hour inspired me to become a certified grief recovery counselor, a qualification which helps enable me to tap into and heal pain points that may be affecting relationships, outcomes, and productivity.

I recently founded Teddy's Village Charitable Foundation to distribute a set of children’s books I created to provide comfort and support to families with terminally ill children.  If Teddy Could Talk is a magical adventure that opens the door of communication and addresses fears and concerns shared by children facing death.  It comes with a companion journal that facilitates activities and journaling to build connections and provide a treasured source of memories for families faced with the unimaginable loss of a child.

I am also a contributing author to
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Children with Special Needs; Exiting Oz (How the New Generation Workforce is Changing the Face of Business Forever); as well as several anthology-style publications

When you hire me as your coach, you get someone who truly cares about you and your outcomes; someone who is in your corner and available when you need them most; who will guide you to dig deeper and live authentically; who will lead you to rapid results; and will inspire you to be your best self every day!

Power through Grace

Power through Grace

Power through Grace began as a personal mantra as I worked through some of my own struggles with being a woman with a powerful personality type.  The principles behind the mantra gave me a healthier sense of self, a stronger marriage, tools to be a better mother, and increased my overall happiness exponentially.

I first began sharing the mantra in my coaching with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and it really struck a chord there as well.  These young women deal with a high degree of scrutiny and stress while maintaining poise and professionalism. Learning to step into their own personal power in a way that is well received by others is key to their success and gives them an edge for making great things happen in their life beyond the DCC.

As I shared my mantra more often, I realized it applied to all personality styles and it isn't mutually exclusive to women.  Every personality brings a powerful set of gifts and everyone needs to develop the skills to connect in a way that allows them to understand and feel understood by others.

Like many women with strong personality traits experience, early conditioning put me in a “good girl” box and taught me to keep quiet and not make waves.  Fear of being perceived as bossy, a “smarty pants”, intimidating, pushy, or a host of other unpleasant adjectives, kept me in that box for a very long time.

As I worked through my conditioning and my true Commander personality emerged, I embraced the fire in my belly to drive forward and get things done; but with that came a sense of urgency and frustration when my process was interrupted.  As a woman, wife, and mother, I often felt guilty because that sense of urgency was perceived as abrupt or angry. I found myself apologizing a lot and feeling very misunderstood. It seemed easier to just stuff my feelings and move forward.

This is something I coach around all the time!  Stuffing one’s feelings will almost always, over time, result in a “pressure cooker” situation.  Imagine a shiny pot sitting on the stove. Unbeknownst to you, it is a pressure cooker and the steam release has been blocked.  All you see is the shiny pot. You have no idea that pressure has been building and building and very soon it’s going to explode.

Stuffing feelings is much like that pot.  You know you’ve been working very hard to fix the situation and get along and that you’ve been holding back the pressure for a very long time...but no one else knows this...all they see is the “shiny pot.”  When you can’t take it anymore and finally explode, others are taken by surprise and wonder why you just exploded over something so small (they only see the tip of the stress iceberg). Their defenses go up and they will either duck for cover or come out fighting.  In either case, they are not prepared to hear what you need them to hear because they’re in defensive mode. Unfortunately, their negative response only validates the belief system that stuffing feelings is best and the cycle continues.

In order to live authentically and step into our own personal POWER we must first be courageous enough to share our truth, even under stress...and that’s where GRACE comes in.

Power through Grace means:

Never apologize for who you are!  Instead, apologize for bad behavior and be willing to share what put you there.

Deliver what you think, feel, and need in a way that others can receive...and be gracious enough to allow others to share their truth even when it differs from our own.

Know that there is power in every personality...own yours and appreciate others!

Develop the skills to handle any situation or person...but spend most of your time in a space that gives you energy, passion, and joy...because it is only from that place that you can give the best of yourself to the world!

WHAT IS CORE?

What is CORE?

CORE is different…very different. In fact, most people who take CORE say they get so much more than they ever expected. This is not an assessment that you simply take and get a stock report with some “gee whiz that was interesting” information. CORE gets to the root of what has been holding you back and preventing you from achieving the outcomes you are after both personally and professionally.

CORE takes a "whole brain" approach and recognizes that we have the ability to be or do anything we choose.  It isn’t whether we CAN do it...it’s about how much energy or effort it takes to maintain what we’re doing.  When we focus on what we love it doesn’t feel like hard work at all.

CORE won’t place you in a box! CORE is designed to get beneath the surface to discover if WHERE you are is an accurate representation of WHO you are at the core of your being.  CORE identifies conditioned behaviors and indicates where stress is creating a challenge. It is an integrated system that measures behaviors across the entire spectrum and defines how each of the behaviors has developed and is currently being used.

CORE assessments are designed to provide deep, broad, highly accurate analyses so that natural traits and abilities can be discovered and best utilized. This translates to more optimal results in every area of life…personal and professional.

CORE doesn’t stop with observable traits or momentary preferences that you are already aware of. It goes far beyond current levels of awareness, past old conditioning, and goes all the way to your core truth. At your core is the ideal self you came into the world to be. The self that, if properly developed, is perfectly suited to deliver the exact results you want and need for optimal outcomes and a fulfilled life.

Because CORE looks deeply enough to see development levels, reactionary patterns, and emotional intelligence you get a very in-depth and accurate picture, not just of who you really are, but also of what you have developed and have available to be developed so you can purposefully select areas you want to improve.

People develop far faster when they focus on optimizing their natural strengths and abilities than when they try to eliminate problematical traits. But before optimal outcomes can be realized, natural strengths and abilities must be recognized and developed, and that’s where CORE shines.

I use CORE MAP with every client and include it with the first session at no extra cost.  Clients tell me that they learn more about themselves in our first session using CORE than in years of therapy and often marvel that I seem to know more about them than people who have known them for decades.

DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

CORE is the official personality assessment of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and I serve as their Personal and Team Development coach.  I use CORE MAP during individual coaching sessions to provide deep personal insight and strategies to shine bright in every area of life and in group sessions to increase awareness and build effective team dynamics.  I also assist with hiring and development for the DCC Staff.

In 2019 Coach Gina was featured on CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team Season 14:

On episode 4, Training Camp candidates take the CORE Multidimensional Awareness Profile.

On episode 5
, Coach Gina consults with DCC Director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell to provide insight into the personalities of the training camp candidates and how to create the best team dynamics.  Later in the episode, Coach Gina helps announce the new training camp teams.

On episode 12, Coach Gina meets with each of the four teams to share insights into the CORE Types of each individual and the dynamics that drive each group.  Discussions turn personal as the remaining training camp candidates talk about how the different personalities cope with the stress of final cuts and the excitement of being down to the wire for Making the Team!

For deeper insight, the CORE Multidimensional Awareness Profile measures your personality from several angles to identify where conditioning may exist.  When coupled with a coaching session with Coach Gina, you can tap into your highest potential just like the extraordinary women who make up the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!
